The UltraMAX 12 DSP is the premium 12″ powered loudspeaker in the new Ultra DSP range. Designed to deliver uncompromising sound quality in almost any application. Every component has been carefully selected and calibrated to ensure the speaker meets the highest performance, clarity, and reliability standards even in demanding environments.
Rich, Warm Sound
The UltraMAX 12DSP features a custom 12″ woofer with 1.5″ voice coil delivering extra depth and punch where you need it. Coupled with a premium 1.75″ HF compression driver to deliver a balance and full range frequency response. The solid Birch Plywood cabinet provides the perfect foundation for the drives and helps create the rich warm sound that the AVE Ultra is known for.
Custom Bi-amplified design
The UltraMAX series is fitted with a 1500W peak power amplifier that utilizes both Class-D & Class A/B technology. Providing the perfect balance of power and efficiency. The Class-D amplifier powers the woofer, providing a punchy output even at low volumes. While the Class A/B amplifier delivers far less crossover distortion and warmer high-frequency response, the combined result is a punchy low end with detailed warm sound and efficient power consumption.
Rigorous Testing
Each and every UltraMAX powered speaker undergoes our rigorous quality control in-house. Each speaker is loaded with the custom DSP tuning, then tested for 40hrs continuously before being packaged, ready for sale. This allows us to ensure that each and every UltraMax speaker meets AVE standards and is ready for any sound reinforcement application.
Industry First Editable DSP Software
The UltraMAX loudspeakers are fitted with our industry-first, user editable, DSP processor. Allowing you to create, and tweak the speakers internal DSP to achieve the perfect sound for your environment or application. The system features 8 presets in total, with 4 that can be adjusted using our proprietary DSP software. Each preset has been custom tuned by AVE engineers to provide the best response and sound for the most common applications including;
- Music: For DJs and pre-recorded music
- Live: For bands, and live sound events with low-risk of feedback
- Speech: Tailored frequency response for presentations with low risk of feedback
- Satellite: Adds a high-pass filter for use with a subwoofer
The UltraMax features 2x LAN connections that allow you to connect and control multiple UltraMax speakers from the DSP software in real time with the Broadcast mode.
Your Sound Your Way
The user-editable DSP gives you access to the speaker’s tuning and other controls to help you shape and control your sound, including;
- 6-band graphic EQ
- Speaker time delay
- High-Pass/Low-Pass Filters
- Main volume control
The ‘speaker time delay’ feature is something never seen before in such an affordable system. Allowing you to delay the speaker’s output for use with a larger system, preventing echo and phasing issues, and can be configured in the software by either millisecond (ms) or distance (m).
